A FEW NOTES AND DAILY HAIKU: A BROKEN THRONE

IS IT REALLY FRIDAY ALREADY CUPCAKES?!

Can you believe it's already Friday? I can't believe it's already Friday! Then again, I can't believe it's already October! Where has this week...this year gone?! It's madness I tell you...MADNESS *flails dramatically*.

Ok, got that outta my system. Sorry, cupcakes it's 2:17 am and I'm all jittery and awake O_O
So, this has been a great reading week for me; I've read like 5 books...but I've only posted like 1 review, which makes me a very bad book blogger uh? I apologize...I beg your forgiveness...I grovel at your pretty feet *winks*. But I swear I'll make up for it next week (starting Sat.) because I have 2 blog tours stopping by (Oct. 8 and Oct. 12) both of which will feature giveaways for all of you! Plus I have even more reviews and author interviews and awesome giveaways to share...so YAY ME...right?! Forgive me yet?

So sidenotes *thinks*. Ah yes, I'm thinking about changing up my review format and style. Maybe something a little less analytical and a little more simple and general. Nothing too drastic or different. i just feel like the English Lit. & Lang. major in me seems to come out too much in my reviews and they read too much like boring essays...yay or nay? I don't know, we'll see how simple I can go. I believe a detailed and thorough review is a helpful review *shrugs*

In non-bookey news, I'm addicted to the Adele song 'Set Fire To The Rain' and the show 'Revenge'. LOVE them! Anyone else share my obsession and want to discuss *puppy eyes*. Oh *jumps up and down* tonight is an all new Supernatural directed by the one, the only, the very talented and sexy Mr. Jensen Ackles *swoons*. So everybody watch tonight at 9pm EST on the CW!!!

Now my daily haiku...I'll explain the inspiration after the poem:
The Good Always Die Young
I never realized
That I took you for granted
Now that you're broken :(

Ok, so in my house we have two bathrooms, one downstairs and one upstairs right next to my bedroom. Now, I'm a nighttime bathroom goer...I pee a lot at night and I've always just taken the bathroom next to my room for granted. Until today. When it broke. Like broke broke. Apparently it leaked so bad that the water came crashing through my sister's ceiling downstairs while she was sleeping. Which isn't funny...not funny at all *tries to hold in giggles*. I mean she didn't get hurt or anything, but c'mon on, her ceiling was invaded by powerful toilet water! How is that not funny?! Anywho, until we can get it fixed, the upstairs bathroom is off limits. Which means I have to trudge ALL the way downstairs everytime I have to pee...even at like 3 in the morning!!! And and and I have to share 1 bathroom with 4 other females! That's like tortue >_<

So moral of the story? Don't take things for granted and pray that toilet water doesn't come crashing down upon you while you slumber.

DAILY HAIKU

HAPPY MONDAY CUPCAKES AND WELCOME TO OCTOBER!!!

Ok, so technically it's been October for a few days now but I'm still in the mood to welcome this month. I happen to love the month of October, even if it is in Fall. Why? Well because Halloween is in October and so is my birthday *does the birthday dance*. My b-day is the 23rd so ya'll have about 20 days to buy me something fabulous ;) *teeheehee*. October also means my Happy Birthday To Me & All My Followers Giveaway! I'm super excited to be having this giveaway and will be posting more info in a few weeks...so please be patient. But, in the meantime I give you today's haiku:
My B-Day Month Could Kick Your B-Day Month's Butt
With Birthday cake and
Halloween candy galore
October's the best!

I'm a rat *nibble nibble*

DAILY HAIKU: DINO'S ROCK!

'TIS THURSDAY CUPCAKES

So the new show Terra Nova- the one about humanity being forced to travel 85 million years into the past because we've basically destroyed our home because we suck- premiered on Monday and I just now finally got a chance to sit down and watch it. I liked it. It had cute guys and dinosaurs, so yeah a win win in my book. Who else watched it? What did ya think?

Today's haiku as been inspired by Terra Nova, or specifically my love of dinosaurs, including the wee little T-rex and Brontosaurus sitting on my nightstand, just chilling there, looking cute;

Until They Bite Your Head Off
With big sharp teeth and
Feet that make the Earth go boom
Dinos are so cool

AND IN UNRELATED NEWS, THIS IS MY 100TH POST!!!
YAY! THERE REALLY IS NO REAL REASON TO CELEBRATE THIS MOMENT OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT 100 IS AN AWESOME, ROUND NUMBER...AND IT GIVES ME A CHANCE TO USE THIS IMAGE:
It's a cupcake...doing a happy dance *teeheehee*

DAILY HAIKU: THERE'S A STORM COMIN' HARRY

WELCOME TO WEDNESDAY CUPCAKES

It seems we have made it once again to the middle of the week. How are you? How has your week been so far? Done anything great? Fun? Naughty? I sure hope so *smirks*. My week has been quite uneventful. Unless you count the Huge Scary Loud Made Me Jump thunderstorm we got *shrugs then hides from scurry noises*. So to make the storm seem less friggin scary, I've written haiku about it and turned it into something more fun:

Expecto No Stormo
Boom! Bang! Sizzle! Crack
Sounds like Death Eaters outside
Better get my wand

DAILY HAIKU: DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE

TWOFER TUESDAY

Happy Tuesday Cupcakes! So, I was a bit absent yesterday and didn't post a daily haiku for Monday *hangs head*. I apologize and beg your forgiveness *falls on knees and gives you the big puppy eyes*. To make up for my laziness I give you TWO haikus!

Mondays Kinda Suck
Woke up feeling blah
Just wanted to stay in bed
Had the Monday Blues

I'm Too Old To Pull That Look Off
Lil Sis dyed her hair
Now she looks like Ariel
Am I jealous? Yep!
This is my lovely lil sis, Nikki the Little Mermaid, and her new flaming red hair!

DAILY HAIKU: DO YOU GOT THE BEAT?

HAPPY TUESDAY CUPCAKES

Eek! I just realized I haven't posted my daily haiku yet! Glee returns for its third season tonight and I am soooooo excited!!!! So I thought I'd express my excitement with a haiku:

I Wish I  Could Carry A Tune
Time to sing again
With that cool band of misfits
Tonight: Dorks Unite!

DAILY HAIKU: THEY FEED ON STUPIDITY

MONDAY HAS COME AGAIN CUPCAKES

Why, oh why must the weekend go by so fast?! *le sigh* I hope you all had fun, productive weekends and are ready for the week ahead! I, for one, am quite excited about this week because 1) I have several really awesome books to read and 2) some really awesome shows premiere this week! Yes, shows are returning for new seasons and new shows are premiering which makes this TV junkie so very happy *happy dance*!!! Supernatural, Glee, Modern Family, Nikita, New Girl oh my! So much awesomesauce on my tv this week *flails*. What are y'all looking forward to watching this week? What are you y'all reading this week? I wanna know!

So, it's a little after 12 am and I'm watching When Fish Attack 3 and I gotta admit it's kinda funny. Most of these people really kinda deserve getting bit (note that I am a HUGE shark lover and believe these creatures should NOT be hunted or killed for sport, so that may influence my less than sympathetic opinion here). There's this one dude who STUCK his hand in the mouth of a shark *coughlikeanidiotcough*, got bit and preceeded to scream like a wee little girl. So. Friggin. Funny. Then there's a guy who likes to flip nerf sharks upside down and kiss them...on their mouths...and yeah he got bit. Big surprise uh? So today's haiku has been inspired be the stupidity of these men and my love for sharks:

I Feel Like This Goes Without Saying
Mouths full of sharp teeth
Get too close and they WILL bite
So don't kiss a shark

DAILY HAIKU: SHE FEEDS MY ADDICTION

ITS FINALLY FANTABULOUS FRIDAY CUPCAKES

Happy happy Friday y'all! Doncha just love this day?! Its a great day....especially since Fridays usually mean Supernatural!!!! Yes, yes I know I talk about this show a lot. I'd apologize, but I'm not sorry. This show owns my heart and I shall praise it till I'm dead...and even then I shall come back and haunt those naysayers...just kidding *coughmaybecough*.

Well next week is the season 7 premiere of Supernatural...so be prepared for lots of Supernatural love on the bloggy blog then. But today I thought I would use my daily haiku to celebrate my favorite Supernatural fanfiction writer-- Lampito. Her stories are amazeballs. Seriously fellow Supernatural fans, her fanfics are hilarious, brilliant, and her characterizations are so perfect and spot on that sometimes I think she's secretly a Supernatural writer disguised as a fanfic writer...she's ninja like that. Even if you are not a Supernatural fan, you will enjoy her hilarity...trust me, I know these things.

You can find her awesomesauce fanfics [here]. So stop by, read her work, leave her a comment and tell her Aeicha sent ya. Now for my haiku:

I'd Fly To Australia To Meet This Lovely Lady
 I love Lampito!
With her funny, sexy words
She writes like a boss

And if I ever did meet her, this is what I'd do

Do you y'all have any fave fanfic writers to recommend? Have any fun weekend plans?

DAILY HAIKU: FEELING THE FALL FUNKS

WELCOME TO WEDNESDAY CUPCAKES

So you may have noticed that I didn't post a Daily Haiku yesterday-bad, bad me- and I apologize. It was just One Of Those Days...actually it feels like its been One Of Those Weeks. I just feel blah...just blah. I think it has to do with the end of summer and the ever approaching winter *shivers*. Anyone live somewhere that is warm all the time and would love to have a bloggy blogger come stay with them till spring?! I promise to behave myself, and make you laugh, and bake you goodies all the time, and I'll only hog the tv on days that end with Y *puppy dog eyes*. Hmm, no takers then? Shucks.

Well in that case I'll just leave you with this:
I Think It's A Metaphor Or Something
I woke up today
Feeling like a cardboard box
Not sure what that means

Does this reflect how I'm feeling? Not really. Does it make me smile though? Totally

DAILY HAIKU: GREEN- ITS THE NEW BLACK

MONDAY, MONDAY, MONDAY

*le sigh* Its Monday again Cupcakes. I hope you all had fantabulous and lovely weekends. Mine was quite boring and filled with reading and more Dr. Quinn watching. This week I will be posting some new reviews (Liesl and Po, Ashes, Suspense, maybe a few more) and I will be making an announcement about two new giveaways- a small, ebook giveaway for when I reach 100 followers (I'm only 1 away right now *squee*) and a bigger multiple prize pack giveaway in Oct. to properly celebrate 100+ Followers and my b-day...super excited about both.

For today's haiku, I asked my sister for a word to inspire me and she came up with GREEN...which so happens to be my fave color. So, inspired by the word green, I give you:

Not All Green Things Are Good To Eat
Green: a great color
Lots of good things come in green
Except for boogers

funny gifs
OMG! The look that other gorilla is giving him is hilarious!

DAILY HAIKU: I CALL HIM DOBBY

TOP AH THE MORNING...OR AFTERNOON OR EVENING...TO YOU CUPCAKES ON THIS LOVELY THURSDAY

Yes, occasionally I do like to pretend that I'm an Irish leprechaun. Don't you?!

Today's haiku has been inspired by my deep love and attachment to my Kindle. I love my magic lil library so much. And yes, I did name my Kindle Dobby:

It's Like Having My Own Bookie House-Elf
Magic Kindle, you
keep all my books organized
You're awesome Dobby

DAILY HAIKU: THIS TV JUNKIE NEEDS HER JUNK

HAPPY WEDNESDAY CUPCAKES

Today has felt like a really loooong, sloooow day to me. Maybe its the change in the weather or the seasons changing or maybe I'm just turning into a robot *shifty eyes*. All I know is that I'm ready for my tv shows to come back so i have something to look forward to on long, slow days like this. Today's haiku was inspired by my obsession with all things tv...I really need a hobby:

Me and My Idiot Box
Oh glorious box
I miss your entertainment
New shows hurry back

DAILY HAIKU: WE ALL NEED OUR OWN MOUNTAIN MAN

HAPPY TUESDAY CUPCAKES

I got off to a bit of a slow start today...I stayed up late last night watching a Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman marathon on tv. I'm still not sure if that makes me totally awesome or totally lame *shrugs*. Either way, today's haiku was inspired by my adorkable love for this show:

Dr. Mike + Sully = True Love
A frontier doctor
And a handsome mountain man
Equals GREAT t.v.

DAILY HAIKU: QUIET THOUGHTS

HAPPY LABOR DAY MONDAY CUPCAKES

Tis the beginning of another week and I hope you all had fantabulous weekends! I can't believe it's already September...and I'm already missing summer. This time of year is when things always feel like they shift...like when Summer ends and Fall begins life just seems very different...time just feels like it moves differently. Ya know what I mean...it's ok if you don't, I'm not entirely sure I do either. I'm not entirely sure what inspired today's haiku either or really what it's about...or if it's really about anything at all *shrugs*. I suppose I'm just feeling thinky today:

We're All Just A Story
The corner folds down
Dog-earing the last page read
A new chapter starts

DAILY HAIKU: I'M PRO AT PRETENDING TO BE NINJA

HAPPY FANTABULOUS FRIDAY

It's Friday, which means once again we have all survived another work week! Yay us!I hope all you Cupcakes have a fun and fantabulous weekend planned. Me? I plan on spending the weekend with my nose in a book...which really isn't that different from every other weekend...perhaps I should look into getting a life...on second thought, that seems like a lot of work. I rather just read.

Although, I'm actually stepping away from my Kindle and getting out of the house today *collective gasp*. I know, I know its shocking. But I will be back later with a review, a Flashback Friday post, and tonight at midnight I will be choosing the winner of the ebook copy of Released. You have until then to enter to win.

Plus, if I reach 50 followers by tonight- and I'mthisclose- I will do another Weekend Ebook Giveaway! So go spread the Word Spelunking love!!!

Now, today's haiku was inspired by a nightmare I had last night. A nightmare that scared the beejezus outta me and had me thinking wouldn't it be cool if in my nightmares I could will myself into a super cool ninja and turn those nightmares into something awesome?!

Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting
In my dreams I fight
With my awesome ninja skills
Watch me kick some butt!

DAILY HAIKU: FEED ME SEYMOUR

HAPPY SEPTEMBER 1 CUPCAKES

August is officially gone and September is here *le sigh*. I've had quite the busy day already and its only 11:30 am! I had to wake up extra early this morning to finish packing my trunk...ya see our house-elf Whimzy apparently went on a Butterbeer bender last night and was a bit hungover this morning so we had to do our own cooking, cleaning, and folding of clothes. Ya never really realize just how hard a house-elf works until you're stuck doing their job (Go S.P.E.W!). So of course, there was much scrambling about this morning looking for misplaced books, last minute laundry, organizing bits and bobbles, and coaxing Winchester (my owl) and Rambo (sis's dog who has to be transfigured into a cat cause dogs aren't allowed) into their cages for the journey. Then we had to rush to meet the portkey (a monster  truck tire) to King's Cross Station, but we made it just in time. Whew, now I'm sitting aboard the Hogwarts Express as we make our way to school. Surprisingly the train now has WiFi access...something to do with keeping up with the times. If you're also on the train to Hogwarts stop by and see me...I'm in the compartment with the barking orange cat!

As for today's bloggy blog happenings, I will be posting my review of The Soulkeepers later this afternoon and I will also be announcing the winner of the Peter Nimble and His Fantastic Eyes giveaway shortly. I will probably be sending out a newsletter email today, so if you signed up for my newsletters be on the lookout for that. And if you want to sign up for my newsletters you can easily do that...there's a sign up button in the right side sidebar over yonder ---->

Now, for your haiku pleasure I give you:
Please Don't Spill All Over My Lap
Little hard corn shell
Filled with your yummy goodness
Get in my belly

Today's haiku has been inspired by my love of and craving for tacos...seriously, I could so go for some tacos right now...who wants to go on a taco run? I'll buy if you fly :)

DAILY HAIKU: BABY COME BACK

HAPPY HUMP DAY CUPCAKES!

I was going to make some witty comment about everyone getting humpy on hump day, but then I realized how very awkward that would be and how some of you may mistake my comment for me flirting with you and then of course you'd end up developing this massive crush on me and I'd have to break your poor hearts and things just wouldn't end well. So, no humpy hump day comment...I feel good about this decision.

Anywho, not only is it hump day, its also the last day of August, which means tomorrow is September 1 and do you know what that means...besides it being the day school starts at Hogwarts? That means the end of Summer is coming and the start of Fall begins. This makes me sad...so I wrote a haiku:

Summer Lovin'

Summer is ending
I wish Fall would stay away
My flip flops are sad

As you can tell, I love Summer...I want to marry Summer and have its sunny babies. I don't hate Fall. A lot of good things come with Fall, like my birthday, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. But Fall means Summer ends and Winter is coming (heehee, I sound like a Stark). And I loathe Winter. Winter means cold and ice and having to wear *gasp* socks! Now I know what you're all saying-"But good things come with Winter too like hot chocolate, Christmas, and snow". What I have to say to that- I drink hot chocolate all year, Christmas is expensive, and snow...well I get excited for the first snowfall, spend about 15 minutes playing in it, then I'm done. That's about the extent of my love affair with snow.

I think I need to move somewhere where Summer never ends *le sigh*. How sad does the end of Summer make me? Well I'd say about this sad:
Who thinks I'm awesome for digging up this Dawson's Creek gif?! Cause I think I'm awesome!

DAILY HAIKU: MEGALODON IS MEGA SEXY

G'day Cupcakes on this sunny Tuesday! Today's haiku is inspired by my love of sharks and the fact that Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus was on SyFy earlier. So for your sharky pleasure:

Eating Planes Like A Boss
Love your toothy grin
But I gotta ask you this:
Why you eat that plane?

And incase you have no idea what movie or scene I am referring to, I give you this:

DAILY HAIKU: I HEART NERDS

HAPPY MONDAY CUPCAKES!

I know, I know, Happy Monday is a real oxymoron. There's nothing about Mondays that are particularly happy. Mondays mean no more weekend and back to school or work. But cheer up my ducks because I do have something to make this Monday a bit more happy-full. Actually I have three things: a haiku, a review and giveaway, and another giveaway! I have chosen the winners of my Meant to Be ebook giveaway, which I will be posting in a bit. Plus I have a review and giveaway of an awesome book to post too. But first, I give you my Monday Haiku:

I Heart Nerds

Sugary goodness
Like a rainbow in my mouth
Thanks Willy Wonka

So, if you haven't guessed, my haiku today was inspired by Nerds candy, which I have been eating all weekend. They make my tummy happy!
