TEASER TUESDAYS {4} and TOP TEN TUESDAY {3}

Teaser Tuesdays... is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

"In one swift movement she plunged the dagger deep into her chest and through her heart. There was no pain, only a dull sense of discomfort and a tightening that grew with every beat that her heart could not make."
The Protectors (Book One in The Protectors Series)

This book can be downloaded for FREE now on Smashwords

I'm about half way done with this book and I'm really enjoying it. It's a really fantastical, enchanting story. My review should be up in day or two.

Top Ten Tuesday... is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Each week a new top ten list will be posted and answered, and other bloggers are invited to post their list answers.

Top Ten Books I Feel As Though

Everyone Has Read But Me

Some of these books I simply have yet to have the chance to read, while some I really do not plan on every reading for one reason or another, and then there are those that I almost feel ashamed for having not yet read.

1. The Hunger Games Trilogy
Suzanne Collins
This is one series that I've just simply never had the right opportunity to start.

2. Anna and the French Kiss
Stephanie Perkins
I've almost bought this book on so many occasions but for some reason or another I just never did. But I really must read it soon.

3 The Vampire Diaries Series
L.J. Smith
I enjoy the show but really have no interest in the books.

4. Divergent
Veronica Roth
I'm always hearing discussions about this book from fellow bloggers, but I've yet to have the chance to read it for myself.

5. The Catcher in the Rye
J.D. Salinger
This is one of those books that I'm ashamed I've never read and regret that it was never required reading when I was in school

6. The Iron Fey Series
Julie Kagawa
I've heard lovely things about this series and I may have to give it a go soon.

7. A Wrinkle In Time
Madeline L'Engle
This book was just never in my overflowing childhood collection sadly.

8. The Mortal Instruments Series
Cassandra Clare
Another series that if given the time and opportunity, I'm sure I'd read it.

9. The Hobbit
J.R.R Tolkien

I've read the Lord of the Rings series several times, but I just never got around to this book. But I really need to read it!

10. The Vampire Academy Series
Richelle Mead
I hear lots of talk about these books, but they've never sparked my interest.

Divergent and The Hunger Games are both fantastic. Anna and the French Kiss is pretty good, too.

Looks like neither of us have given The Mortal Instruments a lot of time. And I, too, need to check out the Iron Fey.

I have only read the first book in the Vampire Academy series and none of The Vampire Diaries. I also am behind in the Iron Fae series so you are not alone.

Oh, my gosh...you absolutely MUST read A Wrinkle in Time (and the rest of the series) - my favorite book from my childhood. I read it over and over again.

And you MUST read The Hunger Games - so incredible and thought-provoking!

My son recently read Divergent and said it's great - I can't wait to read it.

I haven't read The Mortal Instruments either - another one my son loves.

Funny thing is...I have read The Hobbit but never The Lord of the Rings.

Looks like we have a lot in common. Thanks for visiting my blog and taking the time to comment!

I'm so glad you stopped by!. I downloaded book 1. Not only did I like your teaser but the cover looks amazing....plus you've got to love the price!

Hunger Games: own but unread
Divergent: awesome cover...checking it out.
Catcher in the Rye: Pretty sure I own that one too but if I read it, it was a very long time ago.
A Wrinkle in Time: I know I've read this one and I know I liked it but it was so long ago I don't remember much of it.
Mortal Instruments: own but unread
The Hobbit: loved it
Vampire Academy: only read book one

as for the rest.....no desire I guess.
