MUSING MONDAYS is a weekly event hosted by Should Be Reading where MizB will ask a book/reading-related question, and you answer with your own thoughts on the topic

This week’s musing asks…
How often do you read a book, just because you’re in the mood to read it? (not because you’re obligated to for a book club, or a challenge, or for review)
This is a really great question! Lately, I've found little time to read a book "just because". I've been reading books mostly for reviews...although I've really lucked out lately and most of my review obligation books have turned out to be really great. There are several books that have been out for awhile that I really want to read, but I promised myself I wouldn't pick up those books until I finished ALL the books I need to read for reviews. But as we near the end of September and the beginning of October, there are many books releasing soon that I just know I'll have to read as soon as they come out (Lola and the Boy Next Door, Carrier of the Mark, The Son of Neptune, Darkfall).

I don’t obligate myself to reading something unless I am in the mood for it. Check out my answer for this weeks Monday Musing.

It sounds like most of us read for reviews or book clubs. Maybe I'm being too lenient on my reading.

Here is mine: http://robinquinn.wordpress.com/2011/09/19/musing-mondays-3/

Not familiar with these titles but those covers are sure pretty.

You are a very dedicated reviewer. I probably read 1 review book for every 5 normal books. More power to you!

Great list of books. I'm reading three picture books a night with my children. That's making my list seem really long. I also got some longer books finished too. Please come see what I've read.

Musing - Sometimes you just need to read a book to read a book just for yourself. Here's my response on my blog
