"Waiting On" Wednesday (16): The Miseducation of Cameron Post

"Waiting On" Wednesday...is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This week I'm waiting on...

The Miseducation of Cameron Post
emily m. danforth
2/7/12
When Cameron Post’s parents die suddenly in a car crash, her shocking first thought is relief. Relief she’ll never have to tell them that, hours earlier, she had been kissing a girl.
But that relief soon turns to heartbreak, as Cam is forced to move in with her conservative aunt Ruth. She knows that from this point on, her life will forever be different. Survival in Miles City, Montana, means blending in and not making waves, and Cam becomes an expert at this—especially at avoiding any questions about her sexuality.
Then Coley Taylor moves to town. Beautiful pickup-driving Coley is a perfect cowgirl with the perfect boyfriend to match. To Cam’s surprise, she and Coley become best friends—while Cam secretly dreams of something more. Just as that starts to seem like a real possibility, her secret is exposed. Ultrareligious Aunt Ruth takes drastic action to “fix” her niece, bringing Cam face-to-face with the cost of denying her true self—even if she’s not quite sure who that is.

Book Trailer

I get excited about books all the time. I mean we all do, that's why we run these book blogs. Everyday I discover new and upcoming books and say "Holy cupcake! I wanna read that book!". But every once in a while, a book comes along that doesn't simply grab my attention, but whose synopsis shoots straight to my heart and makes me say to myself (yes, I talk to myself *shifty eyes*) "Aeicha, you MUST read that book!". This is one of those books. I haven't felt a pull this strong toward a book in a long time. I CANNOT wait to read The Miseducation of Cameron Post...and thankfully, I don't have to wait too long, as it comes out in a few weeks! I'll definitely be reviewing this book as soon as I get my giddy little hands on it, and I'm hoping to "see" the author emily m. danforth around on the blogosphere.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING ON?! LEAVE LINKS TO YOUR WEDNESDAY MEMES IN THE COMMENTS :)

To be honest, the title rings a bell but I'm not sure where I've heard about it before. There's definitely something about it which makes you want to pick it up and read it! Definitely adding this to my wishlist.

I hadn't heard of this one before. It sounds intriguing, but I don't think I'd pick it up unless someone told me to. I'll be looking forward to your review!
