Teaser Tuesdays (23): Fairy Blues by J.L. Bryan

Teaser Tuesdays... is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

"The first darkfae she'd summoned was her old friend Rachnia, who had the head and torso of a woman, but the body of a black widow spider. Rachnia had long, dark locks of hair and a pair of venomous fangs."

Great teaser! I wouldn't want to tangle with Rachnia. I like the character's name. It reminds me of arachnid (which I'm sure was the author's intention).
