Catalyst
By Tracy Richardson
June 2, 2020
Brown Books Publishing Group

Marcie, a junior in high school, is spending her summer working at Angel Mounds, the archeological dig her mother heads, along with her brother, Eric, and his girlfriend, Renee. Things immediately shift into the paranormal when Marcie and her teammates meet Lorraine and Zeke, two mysterious dig assistants who claim to access the Universal Energy Field with their minds. After the two confess to Marcie that they know something she doesn't -- that the earth and its resources are in grave danger, Marcie must decide if she's brave enough to save the planet with them.

TRACY RICHARDSON wasn’t always a writer, but she was always a reader. Her favorite book growing up was "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeleine L’Engle, and in a weird way that book has shaped her life. She has a degree in biology like Mrs. Murry, and, without realizing it, she named her children Alex and Katieafter Meg’s parents. Tracy uses her science background in her writing through her emphasis on environmental issues, metaphysics, and science fiction. "The Field" (Brown Books Publishing, April 2019) was Tracy's debut novel, and the first book in the Catalysts series. "Catalyst" (Brown Books Publishing, June 2020) is the second installment.
