Goodie Basket (34): Book Haul & Blog Recap

Goodie Basket...is a weekly feature hosted here at Word Spelunking that showcases all the goodies (books, bookish things, reviews, interviews/giveaways/guest posts, blog tours, etc) that popped up in the Goodie Basket that is Word Spelunking each week.

(This meme is inspired by other book haul memes such as Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, Showcase Sunday hosted by Books, Biscuits & Tea and Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer )

In my mailbox this week...

I may have squee'd like a fangirl when this arrived!

Macmillan: sent from pub

Harper Collins: sent from pub

This is the second set of these books that I have received from HC, so I found them a good home with a happy little girl ;)

EBOOKS FOR REVIEW

Stung by Bethany Wiggins
Bloombury/Walker Children's: from Netgalley

Disney-Hyperion: from Netgalley

Far Far Away: by Tom McNeal
Random House: from Netgalley

PURCHASED

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
Dutton Books

Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan
Dutton Books

I got a gift card for Christmas so I used it to buy these two books. The Fault In Our Stars was one of my fave reads in 2012, so I finally got my own copy (my mom is currently reading and loving it!). I haven't read Will Grayson, Will Grayson yet but I lurve John Green and I lurve David Levithan so I'm hoping this is epic!

Big THANK YOUs to Spencer Hill Press, Macmillan, Random House, Disney-Hyperion, and Bloomsbury for all the bookish awesomeness this week!

Weekly Blog Recap
This week I opened up the author/pub sign-ups for the 2nd Annual March MG Madness Event: a month long celebration of middle-grade! So, if you're an mglit author who wants to participate, please sign up this month using the form on this page.

This week I reviewed Lizzy Speare and the Cursed Tomb by Ally Malinenko, which I found to be a fun, smart middle-grade adventure, and Through The Ever Night (UtNS #2) by Veronica Rossi, which I loved and gave me all the feels!

Author Maggie Lyons stopped by for a fun interview and a giveaway (still open) of her MG book Dewi and the Seeds of Doom. And the Decked With Holly Blog Tour stopped by with a super fun guest post by author Marni Bates and book giveaway (still open).

You can still enter my Happy New Year 2013 Giveaway to win an ARC of Splintered by A.G. Howard (plus key necklace) and an ARC of Everbound by Brodi Ashton.

What did you get this week?!

Every time I see Stung my skin crawls, I really hate bees and needles. Lol, it sounds good though. Great haul Aeicha!
