The Knowing Blog Tour (interview & giveaway)

I'm thrilled to have The Knowing Blog Tour stopping by today! This blog tour is hosted by TCBR and sponsored by Brit Lunden.

The Knowing
Written by Brit Lunden
Bulwark- a wall or stockade that protects or sometimes hides the truth from the outside world. Bulwark, Georgia, isolated, hidden. Who knows what strange things can happen when the rest of the world can’t see you? JB Stratton is alone in the world, and all he has left are the memories of his beloved Ellie. Dirt poor JB and wealthy Ellie feel an instant connection that is as intense and primal as the blood red earth of their home. Unseen roots connect them, pulling them into an impossible relationship. Will the memories of past lives help or hinder the path of their love? Based on the original novella Bulwark, by Brit Lunden, The Knowing continues the story of a town isolated from the rest of the world where the impossible becomes plausible, and logic is determined by reality.

Ages 17+ | Publisher: Chelshire | March 13, 2019 | ISBN-13: 978-1947188990

Q1. What three words best describe your novel, The Knowing?
Sweet, romantic, and sad.

Q2. Grab a copy of The Knowing and answer the following:
Favorite chapter? Chapter 5

Favorite page? Page 80

Favorite setting? JB and his family eating dinner together.

Flip to a random page and give us a 1-2 sentences teaser:
"Sometimes, we don't have choices in life. We have to follow our heart."

Q3. What inspired The Knowing and can you tell us a bit about your characters JB and Ellie?
JB Straton is a poor peanut farmer with no hope for a future when he meets the new girl in town, transplanted Northerner Ellie Brandon. They both know they are meant for each other, but circumstances conspire to make a life together impossible. JB remembers his grandmother's explanation of "the knowing,' that indicates he and Ellie have roots that run deep and that their lives both past and present are intertwined. The past comes alive in his dreams confirming that life isn't random and some things were just meant to be.

Q4. Fill in the blanks:
I’m really awesome at keeping the peace.

I’m really embarrassed to admit that I am an avid craps player.

The last great book I read was Homegoing.

Q5. If you were to create and bake a cupcake inspired by The Knowing, what would it look and taste like, and what would you call it?
Layers and layers of diverse flavors with rich dark ganache holding it together. Each layer of cake take the eater to a new level of understanding the depth of the ingredients and nothing is black and white but glorious shades of colors that can't be imagined.

Hey there cupcake! You look lovely today and I can tell you're thinking very smarticle thinky thoughts....so go ahead and post 'em!

After much thought and only recently being introduced to blog awards and blogger tagging, I'm going to have to declare this an award/tag free blog. I'm honored, humbled, and so very grateful for simply being considered for an award, but I simply do not have the time to return the favor. If I could, I'd award y'all with dozens of yummy cupcakes ;) Thanks for understanding.
