An unlikely duo star in a charming story about being different, finding courage, and the importance of friendship in the first book in a new series from an award-winning animation director.

Kat likes doing things her very own way, but sometimes she doubts herself. So when a bird named Juju arrives, Kat hopes he’ll be the best friend she’s always wanted. He’s outgoing and silly and doesn’t worry about what others think—the opposite of who she is. Bit by bit, with Juju’s help, Kat discovers her strength, and how to have a friend and be one—while still being true to herself.

“This debut gently encourages personal growth while reinforcing the value of being different.” —Kirkus Reviews

Kataneh Vahdni’s Kat and Juju is a deliciously sweet new picture book about one little girl, her big new friend, and the power of friendship, bravery, being genuine, and kindness!

Little readers will be delighted and inspired by the charming story and its gentle message, as they joyously join the darling Kat, with her faithful Juju, as she grows in courage, heart, and spirit. Vahdani’s precious illustrations, with their cool aesthetic sprinkled with fun splashes of color and their whimsically dreamy scenes, bring Kat and Juju to life beautifully.

Kat and Juju is an adorable and heartwarming story with a lovely message.

Hey there cupcake! You look lovely today and I can tell you're thinking very smarticle thinky thoughts....so go ahead and post 'em!

After much thought and only recently being introduced to blog awards and blogger tagging, I'm going to have to declare this an award/tag free blog. I'm honored, humbled, and so very grateful for simply being considered for an award, but I simply do not have the time to return the favor. If I could, I'd award y'all with dozens of yummy cupcakes ;) Thanks for understanding.
