Leo grew up in the sea. He has a family of sea lions he loves. He’s happy, but he has always known he was different. Then Leo’s suddenly reunited with his human parents, and he finds he loves them too. But he still feels like a fish out of water. Being from two worlds and having two families isn’t so easy. Leo has a lot to figure out…

Splashed with humor and grounded in heart, this brightly illustrated story explores ideas of family, home, and belonging in a way that’s as relatable as it is unique.

Lost at sea as a baby, Leo was raised by a loving sea family of sea lions. Leo loves his sea family and life in the ocean, but he knows he's different. One day Leo leaves the sea and finds his human family who take him home and make him feel happy and safe. And yet, he misses his sea family, but knows if he leaves he'll miss his human family. Can Leo find a way to have both his families and find the place he truly belongs?

Vin Vogel's A Home For Leo is beyond sweet and charming! Through simple, yet heartfelt and endearing text, Vogel takes readers on a fun adventure, from Leo as a lost baby to his adventures in the sea, finding his human family, and discovering the true meaning of family and home. And Vogel's cheery, thoughtful illustrations perfectly capture this engaging tale.

Full of silly humor, whimsical illustrations, and wonderful heart, A Home For Leo is an utter delight!

  1. I would want to be raised by dolphins--they are smart, family oriented, and amazingly graceful and powerful.

Hey there cupcake! You look lovely today and I can tell you're thinking very smarticle thinky thoughts....so go ahead and post 'em!

After much thought and only recently being introduced to blog awards and blogger tagging, I'm going to have to declare this an award/tag free blog. I'm honored, humbled, and so very grateful for simply being considered for an award, but I simply do not have the time to return the favor. If I could, I'd award y'all with dozens of yummy cupcakes ;) Thanks for understanding.
