Goodie Basket (19): Week Book Haul & Recap

Goodie Basket...is a weekly feature hosted here at Word Spelunking that showcases all the goodies (books, bookish things, reviews, interviews/giveaways/guest posts, blog tours, etc) that popped up in the Goodie Basket that is Word Spelunking each week.

Hey Cupcakes, I hope everyone had a great week! Before we get to my book haul and recap I just wanted to do a quick update. I recently got a literary internship (YAY!), which I already love, that keeps me very busy reading at least 100 pages a day and one manuscript a week. So, as you can imagine with my internship, work and personal life I won't have as much time to read review books. I WILL still be posting reviews (probably at least 2 a week), just maybe not as many as I've been doing, plus I have plenty of blog tours, interviews, guest posts and giveaways coming up in the next couple of months...so, I'm not going anywhere and the blog won't be empty for weeks or even days at a time. Just know that if I'm a little slow with commenting or choosing giveaway winners it's not on purpose! Thanks :)

In my goodie basket this week...

FOR REVIEW

(ARC)  Splintered A.G. Howard
Amulet Books

I've been so excited about this book for months and was so thrilled when an ARC showed up in my mailbox! The cover is even more gorgeous in person, plus it came with a super cute key necklace (like the one the girl on the cover is wearing)!

(ARC)  Breathe Sarah Crossan
Greenwillow
sent from pub for review
I'm so intrigued by the premise of this book and can't wait to read it!

(finished copy) Dead City James Ponti
Simon & Schuster

I hadn't heard of this book before it showed up in my mailbox, but it looks fab! I love middle-grade zombie stories, plus Suzanne Collins wrote an awesome blurb praising it!

Hey there cupcake! You look lovely today and I can tell you're thinking very smarticle thinky thoughts....so go ahead and post 'em!

After much thought and only recently being introduced to blog awards and blogger tagging, I'm going to have to declare this an award/tag free blog. I'm honored, humbled, and so very grateful for simply being considered for an award, but I simply do not have the time to return the favor. If I could, I'd award y'all with dozens of yummy cupcakes ;) Thanks for understanding.
