Feature and Follow (22) and Weekly Recap

Feature and Follow Friday...is a blog hop, hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read, that allows book bloggers to discover and connect with other book bloggers.
This week's featured blogs are:
Progress & Procrastination and Omnom Books

Q: Define what characteristics your favorite books share. Do they all have a kickass heroine or is the hot love interest the Alpha Male?
Most of my favorite books have strong, intelligent, capable, and relatable main characters, whether they be the heroine or hero. For me to truly love a book, its main character(s) must be captivating on their own. When it comes to heroines, my favorite books all feature heroines that don't necessarily need a love interest to make them interesting and whose strong, independent personalities don't disappear when a love interest is involved...like Hermione, Katniss, Annabeth (Percy Jackson series) or Katy from Obsidian. One of the most important characteristics that my favorite books share is simply spectacular storytelling. My favorite books all tell enthralling, engaging and entertaining stories.

Hey there cupcake! You look lovely today and I can tell you're thinking very smarticle thinky thoughts....so go ahead and post 'em!

After much thought and only recently being introduced to blog awards and blogger tagging, I'm going to have to declare this an award/tag free blog. I'm honored, humbled, and so very grateful for simply being considered for an award, but I simply do not have the time to return the favor. If I could, I'd award y'all with dozens of yummy cupcakes ;) Thanks for understanding.
