In My Mailbox (9)

In My Mailbox...is a meme hosted by Kristi over atThe Story Siren, and is a way for bloggers to share all the bookish (books they've won, been given, given for review, checked out from the library)  goodness that recently came into their possession.

"Here's the mail, it never fails.
It makes me want to wag my tail.
When it comes I want to wail - Maillllllll!"
 (Mail Song from Blue's Clues)

In My Mailbox This Week...
The fabulous Emma Raveling sent me a signed copy of her equally fabulous book Whirl, including a lovely inscription, because she's, well fabby fab of course. I fell in love with this book back in October. If you haven't read this book yet, you MUST! You can get it as an ebook for only 99 cents. You can read my 5 Cupcake review HERE
A big THANK YOU to Emma!!!

I've been doing a lot of thrift store browsing lately and have found some super awesome book for like 50 cents or a dollar. I love collecting books, especially various editions, covers, and books from my childhood, and I've had a lot of luck at thrift stores. Here's what I found this week...

The Hunger Games Suzanne Collins
Tales from a 1001 Nights
Hoot Carl Hiassen
The Theif Lord Cornelia Funke
Harriet the Spy Louise Fitzhugh
Ramona Quimby, Age 8 Beverly Cleary
Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King J.R.R Tolkien
I now have 3 copies of this book! I'm still on the lookout for copies of books 1 and 2 though.

Hey there cupcake! You look lovely today and I can tell you're thinking very smarticle thinky thoughts....so go ahead and post 'em!

After much thought and only recently being introduced to blog awards and blogger tagging, I'm going to have to declare this an award/tag free blog. I'm honored, humbled, and so very grateful for simply being considered for an award, but I simply do not have the time to return the favor. If I could, I'd award y'all with dozens of yummy cupcakes ;) Thanks for understanding.
