There's An Elephant In My Bathtub Blog Tour (interview and giveaway)

I'm so excited to have the There's An Elephant In My Bathtub Blog Tour stopping by today! This tour is sponsored by Connie Bowman and hosted by The Children's Book Review...

There’s An Elephant in My Bathtub
Written by Connie Bowman
Illustrated by Kelly O’Neill

When a loving father finds an elephant in his bathtub one morning he decides to take matters into his own hands. As he travels from room to room he discovers more animals making themselves quite at home. What’s a Dad to do? When his son arrives home from school he’s in for quite a surprise. Dad has gathered all of the animals together in his  son’s room for quite a safari party! At the end of the story we find that Dad has a wonderful imagination and has created a sweet story out of his son’s animals left around the house.

Ages 4-8 | Publisher: Belle Isle Books | December 10, 2018 | ISBN-13: 978-1947860261

Q1. What three words best describe There’s An Elephant In My Bathtub?
Whimsical, imaginative, delightful

Q2. Grab a copy of There’s An Elephant In My Bathtub and answer the following:
Favorite page?
I love page 32 where we get to see the mystery solved and the open book by the bedside teases us to read it again!

Favorite illustration?
Such a tough one! I love page 18. That bear who is chowing down on the Mr. Crunchy cereal is too much!

Flip to a random page and give us a 1 line teaser:
Pg 29:  Be very, very wary of what's behind that door young man!

Q3. What animal(s) wouldn’t you mind to find in your bathtub?
Oh that's a no-brainer, an elephant of course!

Q4. Fill in the blanks:
I’m really awesome at yoga (but not handstand)

I’m really embarrassed to admit I am a big musical theatre dork. I listen to the Broadway channel when I am driving. I sing at the top of my lungs. My daughter Caroline is actually performing on Broadway right now! (I am not embarrassed about that but she might be embarrassed that I shared that. Isn't that my job?)

The last great book I read was Catherine Center's How to Walk Away

Q5. If you were to create and bake a cupcake inspired by There’s An Elephant In My Bathtub what would it look and taste like, and what would you call it?
I love Kelly O'Neill's Illustrations so it would have to be vanilla cake with pink frosting. I would like a trunk and tusks perhaps. Oh, and blue bubbles too!

Hey there cupcake! You look lovely today and I can tell you're thinking very smarticle thinky thoughts....so go ahead and post 'em!

After much thought and only recently being introduced to blog awards and blogger tagging, I'm going to have to declare this an award/tag free blog. I'm honored, humbled, and so very grateful for simply being considered for an award, but I simply do not have the time to return the favor. If I could, I'd award y'all with dozens of yummy cupcakes ;) Thanks for understanding.
