In My Mailbox (18)

In My Mailbox...is a meme hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren, and is a way for bloggers to share all the bookish (books they've won, been given, given for review, checked out from the library)  goodness that recently came into their possession.
"Here's the mail, it never fails.
It makes me want to wag my tail.
When it comes I want to wail - Maillllllll!"
 (Mail Song from Blue's Clues)

In my mailbox this week...

PURCHASED

So, I went to the bookstore today and told myself that I could only buy one book (trying to practice control and be all grown upish and save money and all *eye roll*) and I didn't really have any specific book in mind. But I ended up picking up Looking for Alaska by John Green, which I have never read and when I opened it up I found a cute little note. Here's an excerpt from the note:
This is easily one of the greatest books you'll ever have the pleasure of reading. John is truly phenomenal...you are welcome! <3 a nerdfighter
Now, after getting this message from an awesome nerdfighter I couldn't not buy the book, right?!

  3. I really would like to get my hands on The Mapmaker and the Ghost, but I'm afraid I have requested too many from NG, so I'm reluctant to ask.

Hey there cupcake! You look lovely today and I can tell you're thinking very smarticle thinky thoughts....so go ahead and post 'em!

After much thought and only recently being introduced to blog awards and blogger tagging, I'm going to have to declare this an award/tag free blog. I'm honored, humbled, and so very grateful for simply being considered for an award, but I simply do not have the time to return the favor. If I could, I'd award y'all with dozens of yummy cupcakes ;) Thanks for understanding.
