TGIF {6} and FEATURE AND FOLLOW FRIDAY {7}

TGIF... is a weekly meme hosted by GReads to re-cap the week's posts & to propose a question for followers.

Brief Blog Recap
It's been a great reading week for me, but a slow review week. I've only posted one review this week. But the upcoming week, starting Sat., is going to be a busy full week full of blog tours, reviews, author interviews, and giveaways!

Review, Author Interview, Giveaway
Remembrance by Michelle Madow
I found this to be a sweet, well written debut novel. I gave it 3 Cupcakes; read my review to find out why. Plus, check out my interview with the very nice author Michelle Madow and enter to win an ebook copy of Remembrance

This Friday's Question:

To-Be-Read's: How big is your pile? Which book keeps getting pushed down the stack, but you keep meaning to read it?

My TBR pile has grown to more than a pile, but smaller than a mountain. It's more like a hill...the kind of hill that gives you a stitch in your side when you walk up it but is fun to roll down. The reason my TBR hill keeps growing is because I try to read review books first and usually in the order I receive them or agree to review them. Unfortunately, this tends to push other books further down the hill. Not that I'm complaining, because I've been really lucky in that most of the books I've been asked to review have been really good and joys to read.

Although, I'm finding that if I don't read a few books every week "just for fun", then I'm going to drive myself nuts. For instance, this weekend I plan on finishing The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer and Everblue. Now I will probably review these books, but I'm also reading them because I really want to.

Feature and Follow Friday... is a blog hop, hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Readthat allows book bloggers to discover and connect with other book bloggers.

This week's featured blogs are:

A Neverending Fantasy & Jagged Edge

Q.If you could pick one character in a book, movie or television show to swap places with, who would it be?

*Gulp* Ok, there is now way I could just pick one! So here are a few of my answers:

Hermione Granger...Yeah, so everybody will probably pick my girl 'Mione, but that just goes to show how awesome she and the world of Harry Potter are. Hermione is in the thick of all the magic and action, but she also gets to live a very normal muggle life at home as well, which is cool. Plus she gets to mack on the adorkable Ron and be BFF's with Harry.

Leah Clearwater...Ok, I know what y'all are thinking and saying-"But Aeicha, you aren't a Twilight fan"- and you'd be correct. However, I would like to switch places with Leah for three reasons: 1) So I could kill some sparkly undead sonsabitches, 2) I could totally hook up with one of my fellow hottie werewolves (face it, those boys are hot) and 3) I would smack the beejezus outta Bella Swan...and who hasn't wanted to do that?!

Any female character on the show Supernatural...I don't care if I get killed off, possessed by a demon, turned into a fugly and get hunted down by the Winchesters, it doesn't matter.I would love to switch places with any character that has even the slightest potential to be one of the boys' love interests or flings. Heck, I'd probably switch places with Bobby, the Impala, Lisa, or even Jess who burned on the ceiling, just to get to be close to those boys. But seriously, it would rock to get to be a kick ass female hunter on that show...and if she just so happens to hook up with one (or both) of the boys then so be it ;)

  1. Ya. I felt like I had to keep perspective. I started this for fun & it isn't a job. I can go read stuff off my shelf, because I want to. I can make time for a guilty pleasure read or even reread.

Hey there cupcake! You look lovely today and I can tell you're thinking very smarticle thinky thoughts....so go ahead and post 'em!

After much thought and only recently being introduced to blog awards and blogger tagging, I'm going to have to declare this an award/tag free blog. I'm honored, humbled, and so very grateful for simply being considered for an award, but I simply do not have the time to return the favor. If I could, I'd award y'all with dozens of yummy cupcakes ;) Thanks for understanding.
