Book Blogger Hop...is an awesome weekly meme hosted by Crazy for Books that gives book bloggers the chance to discover, support, and connect with fellow book bloggers and book lovers.
“As a book blogger, how do you introduce yourself in your profile?”
Excellent question! I spent a great deal of time on my profile/about me and the end result is very "me" I think. I don't divulge any deep personal information, yet at the same time you get a perfect sense of who I am. And my introduction is very honest...meaning that the sarcastic, silly, adorkable girl you meet in my introduction is the same girl you'd get if you were to knock on my door and spend the day with me. I like to think that publishers, publicists, and authors would get from my profile that I'm serious enough about being honest with my reviews and wanting to promote books in general, while my followers would come to appreciate my laid back, nerdy personality. And I hope that my love and appreciation for books really comes across to people through my profile.

This Week's Question
Book Disappointments: Have you ever come across a book you were so stoked to read, but it failed miserably in your eyes? Book disappointments are the worst. It's never fun to finish a book you were so excited to read and be sorely dissatisfied. The following books have disappointed me in one way or another...but this is just my OWN personal opinion and is in no way a reflection of how I feel about the authors.
The Red Pyramid
Rick Riordan
I'm almost ashamed to admit my disappointment in this book and series because I love Riordan and his Percy Jackson series, which was why I was so stoked about his Kane Chronicles series. But I was just never able to get into the first book and I never finished it. I'm not sure if it was the timing or if I was just too used to and in love with the Percy Jackson books, but it just didn't live up to my expectations.
Tempted
P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
I had heard great things about this series and I received books 1-4 as a gift and I really liked them. I read book 5 and it didn't blow me away, but when book 6 came out I figured I'd give it a chance. But it didn't do anything for me. It just didn't pull me in the way the earlier books had and I lost interest in the series...which sucks because I was so excited about the series as a whole when I was introduced to it.

Q. It's that pesky magic book fairy again! She has another wish: What imaginary book world would you like to make a reality?
This is such a great question that I could have an endless amount of answers to! Let's see...well the 8 year old in me would love to stumble into Narnia and have tea with Mr. Tumnus, while the adult me would love to work at Merlotte's with Sookie and have "grown up" fun time with sexy vampire Eric Northman. I wouldn't mind spending my days at Fablehaven with Seth and Kendra or with Pippin and Merry in the Shire. And of course, my ultimate dream world would be the world of Harry Potter. I'd love nothing more than to learn to that I was a witch, get my letter, and be swept off to Hogwarts...or even the equivalent American school ;)

Sorry to hear that Tempted wasn't your cup of tea. I loved that book because it was the one where Stevie Rae and Rephiam started to get to know each other. <3 They are the reason I'm still following the House of Night. To each their own, though. :)
I loved all of the book places you wanted to go. New Follower:)

I haven't read The Red Pyramid yet. I wondered if he would be able to equal what he was able to do with Greek mythology.

Oh yes, the House of Night series was a huge disappointment. I read the first book (which felt like a waste of my time! lol) and refused to read the rest.
Great picks for the Follow Friday! Narnia and Harry Potter's worlds would be quite amazing! I would also love Sookie's world, as long as there was so much violence that came with it!
Have a great weekend!

Oo!! I would LOVE to work at Merlottes! (I've been debating if I'd want to be one of the "supes" or not though! )
Two books I was so stoked to read were Hush Hush and Shiver, both huge let downs for me and I still have trouble with all the great reviews out there..and I think to myself, why didn't I like these?
uh huh, House of Night was my biggest disappointment. I included it in my TGIF post as well.
New follower btw :)

I'm with you on The Red Pyramid. I could NOT get into it no matter what I did. Sad day. :(

Nice answers! I love that you put yourself into your profile. Mine needs work so bad...
Sorry The Red Pyramid wasn't for you. I've read both books in that series and thought they started off really slow. They got better (for me) but I can see where you're coming from.
New follower.
Wow, such great answers! I had not thought of Narnia! That would be a great one. And I love me some Eric, but I feel like I always put sookie for my FF answers, so I had to change it up a bit so people don't think im obsessed or anything. (though I kind of am)

Great blog name! :) Visiting from the hop & looking forward to looking around more. I've hesitated to try Red Pyramid and the more I read, the less interested I am. Of course, I still haven't read Percy Jackson though (crazy, right?!), but I DID read a preview chapter and liked it. :)
EVERYONE is saying how the HoN series disappointed them. Kinda glad I saw these feelings before I began the series. Not that it was next on the TBR or anything...but it's good to know! So many books so little time ;)
Your profile's tons of fun - just like you seem to be! Glad to have met you via the Hop.
Hi, new follower here for the hope. Great picks, I would love to be in all those universes too! Looking forward to your reviews.
all are great choices!! I completely forgot about Bon Temps and Eric....although for me it's Alcide now:)
Hello! Thank you for following and commenting on my blog!
I do have to agree that The Lovely Bones was a powerful book, I just found myself a little too disturbed by it!
And I must say that if I had to choose a book world, I'd have to go with Narnia too! That would be lovely if I could just walk into my closet and be in a different world! :)
I keep the personal info to a minimum as well. I recently changed my profile to reflect the fact I'm almost done with library school. Please come and read my new introduction.
